Our First Mission

The first meeting of the CATG Survival Club was yesterday.  We assisted the Nehring family in removing their possessions from their home which had a recent fire.  What a wake-up call for all of us.  Would we be ready for such a disaster?  It was wonderful to see a great turn-out of people to help this family in their time of need.  We all need to be willing to lend a hand to our brothers and sisters in need.  More missions and more learning to come.

  1. I was unable to make it out to help on Saturday, but have been through the after fire cleanup process with my wifes parents a few years ago. I will never forget that smell. My heart is with the Nehring’s every day as they go through this time in their life.

This does bring something to mind for me though, and that’s the idea of a Bug out Bag.
This may not be a new idea to anyone here, but I guess it just re-enforces the idea that this is not something that should be overlooked on a persons survival prep. list.

I don’t want to hijack this message, and take it in another direction, but it may be something we want to start a new topic on.

    God Bless.
